By Julia Kazar Jeffree Star, the gender bending singing sensation is coming to Peabody’s in Cleveland on his 2 DRUNK 2 FUCK tour this Wednesday. Star is somewhat of a Jack of all trades in the entertainment industry, or maybe that’s Jane of all trades, in addition to his hugely successful singing career he is a well known androgynous model, fashion designer, celebrity make-up artist, DJ, and one of the best known internet celebrities around today. The 2 DRUNK 2 FUCK tour is Star’s first world tour ever and supports his most recent album;  Beauty Killer which was released in September of last year. The album, which was Star’s first studio album, includes some of his best known songs such as; “Get Away with Murder” and “Prisoner” both of which have over 9 million plays on Star’s MySpace page. Prior to the album being released Star released two widely successful extended plays; Plastic Surgery Slumber Party which was released in 2007, and Cupcakes Taste Like Violence which came out at the end of 2008. Star’s music is a mix of electronica, hip-hop, and even a little bit of rock all combined to make a new sound that is 100% Star, and nothing else. Star himself describes the album as sexier than much of his earlier music, and a more truthful expression of who he is as a person. “I’m still finding out what ‘Jeffree Star’ really is. And I think I’m almost there…” What he seems to have found, so far at least, is a one of a kind musician who will continue to surprise his listeners for as long as he has listeners to surprise.
