August Burns Red, a metal band from Pennsylvania is coming to Musica in Akron on Wednesday night as part of their summer tour. The band was formed back in 2002 while the members were still in high school, back then they performed all over their hometown and surrounding areas, but because of their young age the kept it limited to those areas only. Now that they are older they have expanded their touring to all over North America. They have shows ranging from Ohio all the way to Brazil.
August Burns Red released their third studio album, Constellations, just last year and it debuted at number 24 on the metal charts. The band is very proud of their latest album and according to their MySpace page they feel that this album has allowed them to stretch their creative wings quite a bit and they have come up with an album that has something for everyone on it. The band has a very distinct sound but you can definitely hear the older metal influences on the band including Metallica, although their singing is a little harsher. August Burns Red is one of the hardest working metal bands out there and if they continue the way they are there will be no stopping them.
So if you are a fan of hardcore metal music make sure you come check out August Burns Red at Musica this Wednesday night. Tickets are $15 and the music starts at 7, you don’t want to miss a minute of this show.
