The Ruckus, a ska band with a rock sound, from a small town in Kansas has been hard at work this summer. They just released a new CD called “Never Stop” and now they are going on tour to promote it, along with all their other music. The tour makes its way to Northeast Ohio early next week with a show at Conton’s Old Glory on Monday night. Also playing that night are Co-Pilot and General Riot. The music starts at 8:00 and it’s sure to be a night filled with some great music, so don’t miss a minute of it. A few years ago eight guys from a small town in Kansas united over their love of ska and rock and roll music. They decided to get together and find a way to combine these two styles of music. The result was The Ruckus and ever since they formed back in the mid 2000’s they have been creating some of the most original music around. The title track off their latest album doesn’t really sound too much like ska music, but it does rock. It features a lot of different horns and some great singing that is slightly reminiscent of Mick Jagger. This band is incredibly talented and has done a really good job of creating a unique sound for them. Hopefully The Ruckus is going to continue to make great music, like they did on “Never Stop” and will also continue to tour for a long time to come. But, you should come check them out when they play at Old Glory on Monday night while they are still relatively new to the game and are still honing their talents. It will definitely be a great night of music that no one will want to miss out on.
