In its ninth year, Camp Bisco has become the go-to outdoor festival for modern electronic/experimental music. Hosting big names like The Disco Biscuits, LCD Soundsystem, Thievery Corporation, Ween, Talib Kweli and David Murphy of STS9, the three-day event will be thumping and bumping from July 15th through 17th in Pattersonville, NY.
The music will be performed on four stages, including two side-by-side main stages, an afternoon DJ Tent and a late-night Dance Tent featuring top international dance acts as well as a “silent disco” (where everyone raves with headphones on) and an Up & Coming stage.
There will also be a plethora of activities for campers to compete in, known as The Color Wars, for campers who sign up between noon and 5 p.m. on Friday. Participants are separated into four teams, Yellow, Green, Orange and Purple, and games include dodgeball, tug-o-war, football toss and a relay race, among many others.
New stuff for Camp Bisco 9 includes:
- Surround Sound in the late night dance tent
- New Dance Tent location – High and Dry
- 2 Stages in the main concert field for nonstop music during the day
- Sunrise Silent Disco with some of your favorite Camp Bisco acts
- More staff at the front gate for faster and easier entry
- Local artists and performing arts stage
- 2 Levels of Ultimate VIP Experience
- Bill Me Later option for ticket purchases (90 day interest free payment plan)
Camp Bisco is also working to keep the event as clean and environmentally conscious as possible. It’s partnering with Zerohero, which works to lower the impact of events and festivals though zero-waste, renewable energy and education, and The Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, an educational, nonprofit organization dedicated to the responsible enjoyment and active stewardship of the outdoors. They will be hosting contests for campsites which have the lowest impact on the environment, and prizes include Camp Bisco 10 tickets and VIP passes.
