By: Julia Kazar On Thursday, July 22nd, The Carter Twins, Joshua and Zachary, will be headlining at Musica in Akron.  The twins are originally from Akron but moved to North Carolina during their teen years.  It was there that they first truly discovered their love of performing music.  Even though they only recently discovered their passion for performing music live, music has been a huge part of their life since they were young children.  Their mother on country radio, and constantly encouraged her sons to pursue their love of music.

In 2009, The Carter Twins released their self-titled debut album on an independent label.  The album includes their smash hit “Heart Like Memphis,” which is popular on country radio stations.  While getting ready to record their EP, Joshua and Zachary wrote over 80 songs, so they already have plenty of material for any future CDs they are planning to release.  At only twenty years old the twins still have plenty of time to release all the songs, as well as plenty of others that haven’t been written yet. Currently the twins are touring around the country, trying to get their name and music out there to as many people as possible. Fans can’t seem to get enough of the twins, constantly hounding them to add more tour dates to their already packed schedule, and begging them to put more music out. The show on Thursday brings The Carter Twins back to their old stomping grounds of Akron to perform for some of their oldest and most loyal fans.  The show starts at 8 and tickets are $10.  Come out to the concert to hear some of the most original country music by some of the hardest working musicians today.
