It’s a folk fest, people! The best of local and national acts are playing Kent all week so don’t miss it. Brazilian music night is Wednesday. The over the top violence and wildly insane artwork of Cannibal Corpse is… AWESOME! Death metal like this flies in the face of all that oppose it.

4. Fri. 11/19 @ Great Lakes Expo Center, Euclid
It may be the end of the riding season but don’t let that stop you from catching Cleveland Cyclefest all weekend long. Custom bike builders, exhibits, vendors and everything you expect will be there as well as a ride-in bike show and a swap meet. Come pick up all those classy shirts you always dreamed of owning that start with “If you’re gonna ride my ass…” and “If you can read this…”

Get a spanking Friday as Austin, TX band The Asylum Street Spankers share their theatrical acoustic nonsense with the North Coast. Expect a mix of folk, jazz, blues and rock. You may have heard the Jagermonsters butchering a couple of their tunes recently.

7. Sat. 11/20 @ Carriage House, Louisville
Living every day like it’s Shark Week, the guys from Candy Coated Jesus are calling for chaos and more black face paint. Pick your best wife beater and try not to get your teeth knocked out in the mosh pit.

Down and dirty, good old fashion rock & roll is what you’ll get at Annabell’s Saturday when The Demon Beat invade. Black Keys fans should dig the three piece assault that swells from grungy minimalism to raging howls of blues rock.
