Across the Viaduct: Reconciling the Revival

Love, finding yourself and heartache are the topics of Across the Viaduct’s new album, Reconciling the Revival. This indie-pop band from Stark Country has created a good fusion of songs in this collection. Some tracks are slow and heartfelt such as “Fallen” while others, like “The Revival,” make you helplessly tap your toes to the beat. It’s hard to pinpoint the similarities between this band and others because you can tell they pull from many different inspirations. Some of their songs have the essence of a Yelllowcard throwback while the vocals in “Always Young” sound a little like Fall Out Boy. In any case, some of ATV’s songs sound like they could be on the radio, and if you enjoy bands like The Ataris, Fall Out Boy and Panic! at the Disco, you’ll like these guys. It’s one of those bands that teenage girls will swoon over, screaming “I love you!” at their concerts. ATV is definitely part of a scene that many young adults in Northeast Ohio can relate to. The band is made up of Steven Turner (guitar and vocals), Nathan Clapper (bass) and Nathan Bauman (drums). They have several shows planned in July, including their CD release event on July 1 at 1 p.m. at The Richville Community Festival.
