Those in the mood for a little blues this summer can head to Kent for their annual Blues Fest this July. Held across a number of the city’s venues, the blues festival is a celebration of the beloved music genre and its wide range of talented musicians. The festival ends on Saturday evening with a one-of-a-kind performance at the Kent Stage by the James Cotton Blues Band (led by the famed James Cotton, of course) and the talented Guy Davis. The cool thing about the Kent Blues Festival is that the venues are within walking distance from one another, which will give attendees time to stop by to get a beer or 12. www.kentbluesfest.com
