Columbus, Ohio’s Red Wanting Blue has revealed the first single from its ninth studio release (and first recorded for a label.) The song “Audition” is taken from the band’s upcoming album From The Vanishing Point, scheduled for release on January 10th, 2012 via Fanatic Records (EMI/Caroline). From The Vanishing Point is the second album that Red Wanting Blue has recorded with Grammy®-nominated producer Jamie Candiloro whose previous work includes engineering several REM records and producing the bulk of the Ryan Adams catalog. As a treat for its loyal fans, Red Wanting Blue will perform From The Vanishing Point in its entirety at a hometown show on October 13th at the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio, During the 13 days prior, a stream of each track from the album will be revealed day-by-day until the entire record is streaming on the morning of the Newport show.
