Think Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime combined with a handful of spliffs and you get Hawaiian punk rock reggae band PEPPER whom will be performing in Cleveland at House Of Blues on Monday September 12th in support of their most recent EP Stitches. Both “Wake Up” and “Drunk Girl” have received heavy radio rotation around the country. To date, the band has sold over a half a million records independently on their very own record label LAW Records. These guys have organically built a huge following from non-stop touring and of course spreading their feel-good vibe. Embodying all the fiery volcanoes, sunny beaches, and the relaxing fun of the islands of Hawaii, punk rock reggae band PEPPER have been creating quite an independent international empire for over 10 years. Fresh off of this summer’s Vans Warped Tour, the band is excited to get back on the road and has announced a string of headline dates. Kicking off in Long Beach, CA this weekend headlining the Shoreline Jam, they’ll be circling across the US and wrapping back to SoCal in early October. All dates are below. Touring in support of their 2010 EP, STITCHES, guitarist/vocalist Kaleo Wassman, bassist/vocalist Bret Bollinger and drummer Yesod Williams will be bringing their feel-good vibes to the masses who have helped the band sell over half a million records independently through their own record label, LAW Records. Stitches featuring “Wake Up” and “Drunk Girl,” received heavy rotation around the country at stations such as San Diego’s 91X (XTRA), San Francisco’s Live 105 (KITS) and West Palm Beach’s The Buzz 103 (WPBZ). Stitches also features the new track “Lonely” written and originally performed by friend Mishka Frith (support Boulder-Portland). Formed in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii in 1997, Pepper has organically built a huge following from their non-stop touring with bands like 311, Snoop Dogg, Flogging Molly, The Offspring, and Less Than Jake as well as impressive sets on Lollapalooza, Miles High Festival, West Beach Music Festival and numerous rounds of Warped Tour. Pepper plans to return to the studio soon after the tour to work on the follow-up to Stitches.
