Cleveland, Ohio (August, 2011) – The Ohio Independent Film Festival (OIFF)presents its first-ever Fall Film Series, to be held at Arts Collinwood, 15605 Waterloo Rd. in Cleveland. The Series kicks off was in September and continues monthly in October, November and December. Details are below: • Saturday, October 28: “Zombie Dearest.” In an attempt to win back his wife, Gus promises to fix up her farmhouse and while digging for her septic tank he digs up a hard-working, obedient zombie to assist him. Could this be the first time Gus has actually done something right? Tickets for “Zombie Dearest are $10. All Zombies receive a $5 discount at the door. • Friday, November 18 at 7:00PM is “Subprime,” a feature film that delves into the back-story behind those bad mortgage loans many Americans were so eager to sign. Tickets for Subprime are $10. • Rounding out the Series on Friday, December 16 at 7:00PM, “The Pill.” After a one-night stand, Mindy informs Fred she’s not on the Pill. Now what? “The Pill” co-stars “My Girl” star Anna Chlumsky. True to their roots, the organizers behind the OIFF chose only films that were submitted directly by the filmmakers. The mission of the OIFF includes exposing the public to newer and emerging filmmakers and their films. The Ohio Independent Film Festival, which has been screening such films since the early 90’s, is held annually in May. The 2012 OIFF will also be held at Arts Collinwood.
