Harvey for a collection of rock standards and a pair of originals for HeadCat’s “Walk the Walk … Talk the Talk.” “American Beat” is the clear-cut single here, unabashed 12-bar blues style rock ‘n’ roll with a declaration to dance. What are you gonna do? Not dance? Not an option here. The group does foot-stomping renditions of “Let it Rock” (Chuck Berry), “Something Else” (Eddie Cochran) and “Crossroads” (Robert Johnson) among others. Good players, good tunes, good record. — B.J.
