Punctuating the “Coreography Council VOL III” festivities on November 26 at Square Records will be a live performance by the darlings of Akron rock and roll, As If, in support of their new self-titled EP.
After cutting their teeth in Highland Square for the past four years, it only makes sense to the members of the band that their first release — produced by Ben Vehorn at Tangerine Sound — corresponds with an event that showcases so many of the artists, writers and fellow musicians that give Highland Square its unique voice.
“The EP’s been a labor of love over the past six months,” said As If drummer Anne Lillis. “There’s nowhere else we’d rather debut it.”
