Kate Tucker Returns With New EP, Ghost of Something New and Stars in Forthcoming Feature Film, Everything Went Down
The deluxe version of Kate Tucker’s new EP, Ghost of Something New, is out March 27, 2012 on Red Valise. Ghost of Something New is a collection of songs Kate recorded with the Sons of Sweden and other long-time collaborators in Seattle, Brooklyn, and Nashville. Blake Wescott (Damien Jurado, Pedro the Lion) and Steven Aguilar (The Head
and the Heart) share production credits. A slight departure from the melancholy of White Horses, her debut solo album, Ghost of Something New reveals tightly crafted pop gems shimmering in layered, moody arrangements.
Songs from Ghost of Something New will appear in the forthcoming feature film, Everything Went Down, directed by Dustin Morrow. Kate Tucker holds a major role in the film, marking her acting debut. More on the film at everythingwentdown.com
The Ghost of Something New deluxe version features three bonus tracks including the original version of the song, “New Orleans,” from White Horses. To celebrate the release Kate will be performing select full band shows across the US with special performances in her shared hometowns of Akron, Ohio and Seattle, Washington.
