Local Metal outfit, Anatoth, to perform epic headlining show at Peabody’s; to celebrate the release of their sophomore effort “A Killer Among Us – PART 1” They will also have a $500 cash prize raffle at the close of their performance. “Total domination of the Heavy Metal World is our main goal” says frontman Derek LaVan, “This May 19th show will get Cleveland to share our vision.” Anatoth is a heavy metal band formed in 2009, in Cleveland, Ohio. They have been labeled Modern Thrash and Groove Metal by fans and peers. “The message of our songs is clear, yet able to be interpreted by the listeners” exclaims LaVan. “We are here to be shelter for those who seek classic true metal in a changing world of aggression”. The name of the band is based on the biblical city in which refugees could take shelter from the war of a changing world. Using the teachings of the fathers of Metal and the tools of the current metal trend, Anatoth stands alone in a sea of clones.
