Everything You Need to Know about “All That Jazz” Canton First Friday July 6th

Stark County Library- Kids Craft- 4pm. Performance by Elec Simon 5-6pm parking lot

Motter and Meadows Lot will be collaborating with Love Canton for a very special FF in July. The students from the Julliard Center will be having their chalk art competition, various social service agencies will be highlighted, drinks and grilled hot dogs will be available and music will include Canton Idol from 5-7, The Love Canton House Band featuring Kevin Embleton (A Minor Bird) from 6-7, The Scenic Route from 8-9 and the Chris Winthrop Guitar Academy from 9-10.

Pete’s Grill will be featuring the fantastic local band 7 T 7 on their patio. Band Starts at 9:00. Classic Rock, and the best hits of the 70′s, 80′s & 90′s.

Journey Art Gallery is featuring Su Nimon’s Summer Clearance Sale. Special pricing on selected prints, paintings and textiles.

JULZ will feature JENNIFER CONTINI. She is an artist from New York City but born and raised in Dover New Philadelphia area. Her husband, Cory Enderby will be providing live music on his guitar. Stark Hunger Task Force will be accepting donations at our hospitality table.

Second April’s show for First Friday will be called “Summertime” and will feature the works of Dana Muntean!

Subway will have Lare Sattler performing and free cookies!

Creative Ohio will feature Creative Cardboard – A Live Participatory Art Installation! Artist BZTAT invites everyone to participate with her in creating a unique and jazzy live art installation out of colorful pieces of cardboard.

Gasser Jewelers will feature Tim Griffith on guitar and the art of Claudia Stimer.

Children’s art activities from Silver Star Youth Theatre, Canton Rugby, Massillon Museum, Frontline Ministries, Noesis Center, Players Guild, Canton Palace Theatre, Habitat for Humanity, Andrew Fulmer Dance Studio and St. Joan of Arc School.

Food from downtown restaurants including Primo’s, Napolis, Benders, Lucca and more.

Specialty goodies including cupcakes, lemonade, funnel cakes, kettle corn, and ice cream.

Music by Denny Ott on the sax on the Mainstage frm 6-7pm.

For July Lynda Tuttle’s Art Center will be featuring the “Scars into Stars” artwork by Big Brothers Big Sisters. The youth & their Big Brother / Big Sister will be at the art center for a reception at 530pm.

Buzzbin will feature Battle of the Bands contestant Good Hours.

North Canton Playhouse is hosting a jazz recital at 6:45pm at the Canton Palace theatre this First Friday. It’s titled “RazzleDazzle” and is a collection of jazz music and dance focusing on the twenties with some featured pieces from the musical Chicago. It is free and will be prior to their feature film. They will also tour the arts district after.

At Anderson Creative for July First Friday will be: Artwork from Heather Bullach.

The Metropolitan Center on Cleveland and 6th will have their rooftop patio open at 5pm with a cash bar and Gatusso’s jazz music.

Early Childhood Resource Center is holding their annual ice cream social fundraiser in the Kolp parking lot behind 2nd April on Court Ave. from 6-9pm
