Cleveland record label Cellar Door Records will celebrate the opening of their new space at the Loftworks building in Asiatown on July 27, 2012 with a night of live Cleveland music. Participating galleries, restaurants and art spaces will showcase art, music, food and fun this Saturday, September 3 from 5-10 p.m. at the Downtown Akron Artwalk. Attendees will get a new view of Downtown Akron at Summit Artspace this month. Heat advisories didn’t keep kids from coming out to Vans Warped Tour in herds on Wednesday. The temperature was in the 90s for most of the day, but the bands were hotter. The new location didn’t deter anyone from hitting up this year’s show either. The eighth annual Vexfest is back again to offer fest-goers over 40 bands on four stages. The free music festival drew more than 8,000 attendees to Federal Street West in Youngstown last year, and this year’s event, in the same location, is expected to draw even more people. Medina’s Art in the Park is a celebration of fine art thrown in the county’s historic Public Square.
