Marti Jones Dixon and Andrew Rudd take viewers on a journey through the lives on nine ordinary Canton residents in their collaborative show at Anderson Creative, Blind/Sighted: The Perceptions Project. Each subject had been asked basic questions about how they perceive themselves and how others perceive them. Dixon, a painter, was given each audio tape and asked to paint a portrait of what she thought they looked like. Based on other descriptive details...

For the 10-year anniversary of the September 11th attacks on our country, Anderson Creative and guest curator Dr. Fredlee Votaw have assembled a diverse and unique group of artists, all of whom will reflect upon the events of that day and how they carry a life of their own, differently in each of our memories. Drawing on work by adult artists who remember the day, 20-year-old artists who were schoolchildren when the attacks happened, and current 5th grade artists who've only heard the events described to them by other people, this installation will showcase the way that images, ideas, peopl...

ANDERSON CREATIVE (331 Cleveland Ave. NW, Canton) The deeply misunderstood sock monkey, the elegant form of Barbie and the sophisticated Mr. Potato Head — it wasn’t the craftsmanship of these toys that made them loved, but the fun they provided for millions of children.
