Listen: Pound for Pound (Orange and Brown) 'Orange and Brown' Etched in Time and Rhyme Etch A Sketch phenomenon's art and design company teams up with Akron soul rockers Winslow to celebrate the Cleveland Browns The "Orange and Brown" Cleveland Browns wear by GV Art + Design is back in time for the 2012 NFL Draft starting this week. The company, co-owned by world-renowned Etch A Sketch artist George Vlosich III, is re-launching a series of t-shirts originally designed for the Brown's defensive line to wear during the 2009 football season. As a special tribute to Cleveland's endeared sp...

Poor play calling, terrible time management and exasperating execution resulted in another Cleveland Browns' loss to division rival Baltimore Ravens, this time by a 20 to 14 margin. Once again, veteran quarterback Seneca Wallace got the start over Colt McCoy, who is still reeling with concussion symptoms after being blasted by Steelers' lineback James Harrison. Wallace and the Browns' offense showed promise in the opening drive, pounding the ball behind resurging running back Peyton Hillis. Though that glimmer of hope was quickly dashed by an interception by Raven's Lardarius Webb. There ...

Apparently Cleveland Browns' headcoach Pat Shurmur has never heard the phrase, “no guts, no glory,” as his uninventive and conservative play calling led the Browns to a 20-17 overtime defeat at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals yesterday. With the game tied and less then two minutes left, Shurmur seemingly decided to play for overtime instead of going for the win. On two consecutive plays he called up inside runs to the slowing Peyton Hillis and followed with what appeared to be a screen play that was broken up by the Cardinals' D. It was infuriating to watch and showed the true lack o...

It's hard to say if the Cleveland Browns actually play these games against the Pittsburgh Steelers or if the networks just Photoshop new names on the jerseys of old game film, as in familiar fashion Cleveland once again fell to the scum bags from Pittsburgh 14-3. Did anyone in Cleveland not see that late interception and ensuing long touchdown pass coming, it's like clockwork. It's almost as if that's a permanent play in the Browns' handbook. Have the defense bust ass to keep the game close so the offense can give it away in the forth after doing nothing for three quarters. The Browns' d...

The Cleveland Browns nearly put together its first complete game of the season yesterday in a 23 to 20 defeat at the hands of division rival Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns got off to a quick start offensively, scoring a touchdown during its first possession of the game. The early points, something the Browns have struggled to get all year, found quarterback Colt McCoy connecting with wideout Jordan Norwood on a 24-yard touchdown pass. Norwood would end the day with 69 yards on four receptions, while McCoy finished the day going 16 out of 34 for 151 yards, two touchdowns and an interceptio...

The Cleveland Browns finally put a complete game together in all three aspects of play during its 14-10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars yesterday, ending a three game losing streak. The team's offense, which had struggled to find the end zone, recorded two touchdowns yesterday. The first came on a one-yard run by relatively new Brown Chris Ogbonnaya, which was set up by a 22-yard pass from Colt McCoy to rookie receiver Greg Little. On the day, Little caught five pass for 59 yards, leading all Cleveland receivers. Jordan Norwood put up the second most yards for a Browns' wideout with...

If Cleveland Browns' first year headcoach Pat Shurmur were a homeowner he would be at the point where he just found out his new dwelling was built on a sinkhole and the foundation is totally fucked. This became undeniably clear during yesterday's 30 to 12 loss to the Huston Texans. It all starts up front for the Browns offense, as line play seems to get worse and worse. Inexperience, lack of depth and subpar talent shines through on nearly ever snap. Second year quarterback Colt McCoy has no time as the pass rush seems to come on quicker than he can even drop back. Unfortunately the run blo...

Browns Score An Undramatic Win From Seahawks In what will undoubtedly go down as the defensive struggle of the year, the Cleveland Browns defeated the Seattle Seahawks by six to three in front of some 66,000 rabid orange and brown clad fans at Cleveland Browns Stadium yesterday. All joking aside, Cleveland's victory on Sunday showcased a young defense that is looking to become the backbone of this team. Browns' defense held the Seahawks to 137 yards total offense. This total was lowered further by the late scratch of Marshawn Lynch from Seattle's roster. Cleveland's team defense also rac...

Let's face it the Browns have all the tools to succeed this years but are still 2-2 at this point. Let us not forget they haven't even hit the rough part of the season yet. Also can these announcers think of anything else to say about Pat Shurmer besides "West Coast Offense"? That exact phrase is used over 15 times each game to describe this guy. Well guess what? The "West Coast Offense" sucks so far, guys. McCoy isn't a young Brees. He definitely isn't a young Farve. And he isn't completing many passes either. We're assuming the early bye week was used more for strategy rather than a...

Let’s face it: Being the new guy on the job sucks the proverbial big one. Everyone is constantly analyzing your every move, waiting with bated breath for the inevitable screwup. When your job is playing football for a team that represents the sporting social conscious and soul for an entire city, this scrutiny gets magnified a hundred times over. Just tune into any sports talk radio show for a little bit and it’s almost certain someone will call in to bash a Browns’ player, even during the summer. That’s just how passionate the fan base is about this team. This is the pressure t...

Cover Story Photo: Cleveland Browns - John H. Reid III Mediocre play and vanilla game planning contributed to the Browns 31 to 13 loss to the Tennessee Titans yesterday at Cleveland Browns Stadium. After coming off a fourth quarter come back victory against the Miami Dolphins last week, the team gained a bit of swagger and confidence. Unfortunately, these attitudes didn't affect their performance. The ragged receiving corp showed their true colors again with dropped balls on what should have been easy catches. Also adding to this trend was running back Montario Hardesty, who racked up fou...

The Cleveland's Browns 17 to 16 win over the Miami Dolphins Sunday was like taking the lame broad home from the bar. You're not bragging to anyone about it and you hope that no one remembers it. But in the end, it's better than the alternative. Once again the offense got off to a slow start. However, unlike in other weeks it stretched throughout most of the game. This might be contributed to the lack of Peyton Hillis, who was a late scratch because of strep throat. With Hillis out, Montario Hardesty finally had a coming out party of sorts, albeit small in scope. In his first NFL start,...

It's great to have football back, right? I mean, if I had to spend all my Sundays this fall with my loved ones instead of laying around face deep in some horribly greasy food watching the Brownies in my underwear, I'd be liable to kill myself. So, go grab that brown and orange gear out of your closet, its football season! It's no secret the Cleveland Browns are starting a youth movement with the way President of Football Operations Mike Holmgren and General Manager Tom Heckert are constructing this team. On draft night, they made several key moves that strengthened the current, and much mor...

Massillon bred hip hop artist, Stalley, will be back in town this weekend to celebrate Cleveland's birthday with a Ohio Homecoming celebration. Stalley is a self described “great American writer” from Massillon, Ohio. He left home to play Division 1 basketball in Michigan, injuring himself shortly after. That set back brought him to NY to play for Long Island University but a second injury derailed his athletic plans. He then changed his focus to music. In 2008, he connected with Ohio’s own, Terry Urban on the mixtape release “Goin Ape” as well as toured opening for Mos Def. H...
