It’s hard to know where to start when talking about someone like Joseph Arthur. He’s best known as a musician, thanks to his solo work and the supergroup Fistful of Mercy, but he’s much more than that — including an accomplished songwriter, painter and designer. Arthur was born in Akron, where he lived until he was 18. He graduated from Firestone High School, also the alma mater of Chrissie Hynde, and hung out in Fairlawn before leaving to find his fortune in Atlanta.
