Bewildering and strangely beautiful, “Uncle Boonmee Who Recalls His Past Lives” is unlike any film you will see all year. Those expecting a film with some form of narrative should probably check their coats at the door, however, those with a deep appreciation of blissful and moving filmmaking should find plenty to love about this picture. Uncle Boonmee is suffering from kidney failure and in a final attempt to bond with his loved ones gathers them all in the countryside of Thailand to recall his past. Over the course of the film, Uncle Boonmee and his family are visited by ghosts from t...
Blonde Boy Grunt and the Groans, Akron and Canton’s rock hard bluegrass outlaw country band just released their latest album, “Cowboy Songs” and damn is it good! Fans of outlaw country will like the painful bluesy wailing on “Estate Sale” and “Cowboy Junkie’s Lament”, the constant rhythm of bluegrass string plucking on songs like “Julie’s Neon Shoes” and “Mr. Mudd and Mr. Gold” and the modern badass rockabilly renegade attitude some of the songs take like “Party in the Car” and “Me and Billy the Kid”. It should be noted, however, that only two of the songs...

Argentine director Pablo Trapero successfully grabs your attention early on and never lets go. Sosa is an ambulance chasing lawyer that works for a sleazy company which takes advantage of those involved in traffic accidents. Referred to by most as a vulture who swoops down and snatches up his clients at their most vulnerable, Sosa is a likeable enough anti-hero that over time you get the feeling cares more for the victims rather than the money he makes off of them....

Norma Jean began as a rap-metal approach during their early years, but soon evolved to a heavier sound.
